Kansas City was better than I expected. During the trip we ate at two restaurants featured on the Food Network Channel, Jack's Stack and Grinders West. Both restaurants were absolutely delicious. We also found a nice district in KC called the Plaza. It is slightly more expensive than other parts of KC, but for good reasons. The district's architecture was designed with inspiration from a city in Spain. Also it includes some of the most luxurious stores in the nation. It also has some local businesses such as Three Dog Bakery which is a stylish bakery for all natural dog treats. Overall, a very fun trip.
When I returned home from Kansas, I received a call for an interview at a marketing firm in Denver. I have some friends that live near LODO off of 38th street. They showed us around the town a bit after my interview and we ate at some local dive restaurants such as Hops & Pie and also the Ale House at Amato's. I met some new people including Spence from a band located in Alaska called Reed Lakes. There was a lot of laughter, opportunity and good warm feelings these last few days. If I make the move to Denver, I think I am going to like it!
